This Topanga canyon home called for a full interior transformation that respects its mid-century bones while bringing every surface up to modern standards. We rebuilt the kitchen around honed black stone countertops and a full-height slab backsplash, paired with custom white oak cabinetry and fully integrated professional appliances. Warm wood paneling, clerestory glazing and a sculptural lighting scheme tie the public rooms together and pull the surrounding canyon into the house.

The scope carried through the living areas and bathrooms: a stone-clad fireplace wall, a deep soaking tub set beneath a picture window, and a frameless glass shower finished in warm plaster. Unlacquered brass fixtures, layered vintage runners and paper lantern pendants complete a home that reads as collected rather than renovated.
